I had signed School of The Remote Influencer - SOTRI as an adult education provider in my hometown of Luton, United Kingdom back in 2014. As I have mentioned in previous posts, SOTRI is an online school. Without stating the obvious, I can work with students across the globe as well as being able to work with students in my town.  I have written a PDF file which provides more info on the above. The Remote Influencer Consulting Solution - TRICS is the name of the Remote Influencing (RI) consulting solution I have developed. It's a bit of a long name. However, it serves a purpose. I am developing a brand of sorts: The Remote Influencer. The Remote Influencer is a powerful monk archetype of the future. The Remote Influencer is not bound by dogma. It is not limited. The Remote Influencer will keep evolving, growing and improving, changing over the course of time. As I have a background in Learning and Development consulting, those elements along with my Remote Influencing (RI) system, will be part of TRICS. There are other highly creative elements in TRICS. This is why I had underlined the 'limited' word in the paragraph above. TRICS can blend in with and it can compete with Life Coaching. School of The Remote Influencer is based upon the distance learning model. When you think about it, most people implement a form of distance learning without even being aware of it. For example, a person might hear about an interesting topic via an internet or in person interaction. They may then decide to look this topic up online or they might go to the library to see if there are any books on said topic. Here is a link to a blog post which provides more info on the above. What is Basic Research? Basic research is curiosity driven. It is motivated by a desire to expand knowledge and involves the acquisition of knowledge for knowledge's sake. It is intended to answer why, what or how questions and increase understanding of fundamental principles. Basic research does not have immediate commercial objectives and although it certainly could, it may not necessarily result in an invention or a solution to a practical problem. Here's a question for you. Which system is better? A. One which is rigid, set in stone, dogmatic, limited and not receptive to change. B. One which is evolving and improving over the course of time and one which is growing. A system that is highly creative in essence. What would your answer be? I am hoping it would be B.
